This Engineer will work in close partnership with the functional capability team supporting the Medicines Development – Product Delivery function. The Product Delivery IDS application portfolio contains solutions that are leveraged by the company’s business partners to meet critical business needs for manufacture and inventory management of investigational medicines all of the way to the patient.
The COTS Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting one of the major, “commercial off-the-shelf” applications within the Product Delivery portfolio. The engineer will apply his or her skills to analyse customer requirements, propose solutions, develop estimates for implementation effort, and build and unit test those solutions to ensure the needs of our customers and patients are continually met.
The Operations and Support work will involve incident management and response, troubleshooting system issues, problem and change management, lifecycle management of the application and its components, and contributing to a suite of periodic tasks that are required to keep the system in a validated state.
Participates in the estimation of activities, owns technical implementation of the tasks, and responsible for the design, build, and unit and integration testing for new and modified features. The Software Engineer will have a keen attention to detail to ensure that good UX (Design Tools) principles are applied, and that application code is implemented to ensure requirements are met with quality.
