Accountant – Romanian language a plus Contract Full Time

***LOCATION: DUBLIN

Our client is now looking for an experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper to join their team.

Main accountabilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance
• Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
• Preparation of accounts and tax returns.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards, rules, regulations, and systems of internal control
• Generating the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data
• Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
• Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company
• Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies or guidelines

• Developing a system to track your company’s financial transactions by creating a chart of accounts and a set of clearly defined bookkeeping procedures and policies.
• Compliance with relevant legal requirements by carefully studying these requirements, enforcing company adherence, filing reports and advising management on the necessary actions.
• Controlling the income and expenditure of clients and your company
• Administering company payrolls.
• The creation and presentation of reports, business plans, budgets and financial statements

To be successful in this role you will have:

• +2 years of experience accounting/bookkeeping/financial position
• Experience with XERO is mandatory
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel/ Microsoft Office
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with accounting software
• Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
• Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures
• Ability to work independently
• Analytical skills
• Fluency in English and Romanian a plus
