Accountant / Bookkeeper – English&Portuguese Full Time Permanent

Accountant for our client, world’s leading investment company

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance
• Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
• Preparation of accounts and tax returns.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards, rules, regulations, and systems of internal control
• Generating the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data
• Keeping a check on the company’s finances based on financial status
• Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
• Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company
• Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines
• Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information
• Identify areas for improvement and implement improvements to processes

• Developing a system to track your company’s financial transactions by creating a chart of accounts and a set of clearly defined bookkeeping procedures and policies.
• Verification, allocation and posting of transactions to maintain subsidiary accounts.
• Compliance with relevant legal requirements by carefully studying these requirements, enforcing company adherence, filing reports and advising management on the necessary actions.
• Controlling the income and expenditure of clients and your company
• Administering company payrolls.
• The creation and presentation of reports, business plans, budgets and financial statements
• Completing analysis of the employee expenditures

Requirements:

· +2 years of experience accounting/bookkeeping/ financial position

· Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

· Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Experience with accounting software

· Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization

· Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation

· Highly detail-oriented

• Fluent in English & Portuguese

· Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures

· Advanced knowledge and experience of spreadsheets

· Ability to work independently

Flexbile hours, initially working from the office for first few months until you learn everything and prove yourself, and eventually you can work remotely!
